Thrive Therapy Maryland
Oliver MacKlin, Graduate-Level Intern
Nice to meet you, I’m Oliver!

Before joining the counseling field, I spent nearly ten years working in education, and those years in classrooms and mentoring roles shaped how I understand growth, resilience, and what it means to truly show up for young people. The connections I formed with students and their families helped me see the power of a supportive relationship, and ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in counseling, where I could continue that work in a deeper, more individualized way.

I’m passionate about supporting children, teens, and young adults as they navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, behavioral challenges, and neurodivergence and build a stronger sense of who they are. In sessions, I draw an integrative approach using person-centered therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I know that asking for support can feel intimidating, and my goal is to create a space that feels welcoming and truly collaborative.

I see therapy as a partnership. You bring your experiences, strengths, questions, and growth, and I bring curiosity, support, and guidance. Together, we work towards helping you better understand yourself, build self-advocacy skills, and develop confidence in your ability to navigate life's challenges. I strive to make every client feel heard, respected, and able to explore their needs without judgment.
I look forward to welcoming you into a space where we can work together, learn together, and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
