Hello! My name is Mathilde, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from York College. Though I grew up in Pennsylvania, I was born in the Netherlands and speak both Dutch and English. My multicultural background has shaped my commitment to cultural competence in my work as a therapist.
My clinical experience began in a residential substance use disorder rehabilitation center, where I provided individual therapy, family therapy, art therapy, psychoeducational group therapy, and crisis intervention. I later specialized in eating and related disorders, using Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). My therapeutic background also includes training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.
Currently, I primarily work with individuals struggling with OCD and anxiety-related disorders, as well as those experiencing trauma, depression, and ADHD. I am also passionate about supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community. My approach integrates Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and CBT, but I adapt my methods to meet each individual's needs—understanding that therapy is never a "one size fits all" process.
During graduate school, I participated in the Promoting Rigorous & Interdisciplinary Mental Healthcare Education (PRIME) program, where I received specialized training in treating aggressive behavior in children and adolescents, cultural competency, and tele-behavioral health. I also completed an internship in a high-need, underserved community, reinforcing my dedication to advocating for marginalized populations.
Although I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, I have a particular passion for working with adolescents. My goal is to create a supportive, personalized therapy experience where you feel heard, valued, and empowered. I look forward to working with you!

Mathilde is in network with Cigna, Kaiser, United, and Carefirst BCBS for individual therapy. Self Pay rates for individual therapy are $150 per appointment.
