Kaitlin Widerman, LCPC

Life can be really stressful. We all have something that we could use support with in our lives and asking for help is an amazing thing we can do for ourselves. You weren’t meant to handle all of life’s problems alone and having a dedicated therapist to talk to can be such a beneficial addition to your life. I would love to have the opportunity to be that therapist. I strive to create a safe place where clients can share what is going on without the fear of judgement. I believe each person has a set of strengths and abilities that can aid in their recovery process, they just need some help in discovering these things sometimes. That’s what I’m here for! I am ready to meet you where you are while also pushing you to reach those goals we set together when we start this therapy process.

I have been practicing in the mental health field as a licensed professional counselor since 2014. I have spent the majority of my professional career working in community mental health and have experience with age ranges from children through older adults. In these roles, I gained a great knowledge of working with a diverse population with a varying range of presenting concerns. In previous positions I have worked in a lead capacity with youths and adults experiencing suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and executive dysfunction.

I primarily utilize trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches with clients. I mix in different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness that fit my clients' individual needs.

If you'd like to talk more or are ready to take this next step, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to working with you!
